Going to Chattanooga
Tomorrow, Sheriss and I are heading to Chattanooga and I am very excited. It's not that I have a burning desire to go to the Aquarium or to see six states from Lookout Mtn., its just a little bit of time to spend with the one I love. It's also some time that doesn't involve Georgia Tech, the Craft Council, or telecom.Shannon said something on her Facebook wall that really resonated with me. "The grass is always greener where you water it. Nurture and appreciate the relationships that you have."I'm by most accounts a very driven person. It's really easy for me to get caught up in the pursuit of my dreams. Sometimes you have to take a step back to appreciate the vista of where you currently sit in your life. When it comes down to it, we are all blessed in someway. We have to appreciate it now, because when you appreciate a time in that moment, you savor it. It great to appreciate a time in your life in retrospect, but there is always a little bit of the pain of not being in the moment that you so enjoyed. So at the risk of sounding sappy I say live for today. Don't become too comfortable in a relationship to value Valentine's Day, don't desire a relationship so much that you don't appreciate your freedom, celebrate the hell out of birthdays. Nothing is guaranteed in life and if you don't have fun, someone will have it for you.
