Quick Post about trip to Tampa

Okay, I'm home , my birth home now, and it feels really great to not be in a car. I spent nearly three lovely hours in Clayton County because of a closed lane on I-75 and because of everyone's desire to leave Atlanta today. It obviously set things back quite a bit and we ended up not getting to Tampa until about 10 p.m.  However the love I received from my parents, sisters, niece, and nephew more than made up for it. It was so great seeing them and just catching up about life. I got to listen the songs that Damamli has learned on her recorder, I got to play with Desmond's Transformers; it was great. One thing that really struck me was a conversation we had about how kids learn. My nephew is the definitive boy. Always active, always into things. This dosen't always jive with structured learning. My parents, my sister, Sheriss , and I just sat back and really talked about how we can get him on track. It was just really cool to see us come together and talk about how we can help. When you're growing up, you take for granted how much your family really loves you and has your best interst at heart. Not to get too sappy, but I felt that love and concern. It felt good and comforting. I know my nephew will be awright.
